The restaurants below are in three categories -

"Special but Informal", "Very Special but Informal" and "Very Special, Wallets at the Ready".

Special but Informal________________________

Le Sillon

On the border line with Brittany and may be part of the latter.  However who cares with food so good as this!  Delicious dishes of very high quality served by a team of Grandparents, Daughter and Son in Law.  Although informal they are professionals and the food and wine is exceptional.  English spoken by Son in Law, who has had experience of top class restaurants and working in England and carries this experience effectively into the family restaurant.  Try the lamb from the salty fields close to St. Michel.

Auberge Les Peupliers

A traditional restaurant not far from Caen, where the food is amazing and such a relief to the weary traveller.  Inexpensive but does not stint on quality.

25 Rue de Rouen, 14730 Giberville   +33 2 31 72 36 53
