How to find Maison de la Normandie?  - We are located in Halkett Place at the corner with Burrard Street (opposite Fortuna Shop and the coffee-shop “Bean Around the World”)

The Conseil Général de la Manche (County Council of la Manche) and the Conseil Régional de Basse-Normandie (Regional council of Basse-Normandie), the region of Normandy has a permanent representation office in the Channel Islands, located in St. Helier, Jersey.  The office was established in 1995. The aim of this "shop window" called ‘La Maison de la Normandie et de la Manche (The house of Normandy and La Manche), is to strengthen the links between Normandy and the Channel Islands, in the fields of tourism, culture, trade and education. It is mainly :

•  A tourism office for Normandy in the Channel Islands with a large set of brochures containing tourist attractions and accommodation facilities.

• A link for creating cultural awareness between Normandy, Guernsey and Jersey for encouraging the development of teaching French language and for providing information about the different traditions and culture of these areas (in particular the patois).

• An office that will enable an increase in economic contact and business opportunities between companies from both sides of the Channel.

• An information centre aimed at encouraging and assisting school and education exchanges.
