Since this article was written Erica and husband have sold the business but it has continued to offer the same take away food including fish and chips!
It is hard to imagine that this traditional, Dinan building could be the location of a busy, thriving take-away which sells Fish and Chips!
However it does and I can personally vouch for the Fish and Chips being perfect - good quantity, no grease and lovely fresh fish in crispy batter with real chips!
Erica and husband - pictured below - are kept most busy with supplying this delicacy. Fish and Chips are of course very much favoured by the English and are greatly appreciated by their French clientele too.
Apart from Fish and Chips, sandwiches and other hot and cold snacks are sold and these too can be taken away or eaten on the premises upstairs where there is a small restaurant area with tables and chairs.
The shop also sells a range of English food items.
When the owners first moved to the area, their French was fairly basic but now they cope with the language admirably and to their credit have a large following of French customers with whom they converse fluently! Well done!
The shop is situated in the centre of Dinan in the vicinity of La Place des Cordeliers and the Church. The street runs parallel to the main Dinan thoroughfare. |
