We are in the process of changing our name to Channel France to make it clear that this is an information site rather than solely accommodation rental!  The new name reflects our aim of providing information specially for Channel Islanders in particular as well as the rest of the world.

The original aim of Gites & More was to advertise Gites and holiday accommodation.  However it soon became apparent that the visitor to France needed more information  in order to make an informed decision and also to appreciate the areas to be visited.  The "more" side of the site grew and we are now endeavouring to provide a wealth of information that other sites do not address

Gites & More is based in the Channel Islands and we aim to provide an all round service for those Islanders who are planning to visit France and are seeking information and also second home owners or those resident in France who may appreciate a point of contact.  We welcome visitors from the United Kingdom and elsewhere in the world.

It is our hope that this site will benefit from input from its visitors, so please write in if you have any comments to make.
